Google's New AdSense Program

If you have a low-traffic site and have a hard time selling advertising on your site, then Google's new advertising program may be the right choice for you.

Google has just introduced a new advertising program called "AdSense". It helps operators of small Internet sites automatically place targeted advertising on their content pages and get paid each time a site visitor clicks on one of the ads.

Google's new advertising program can help low-traffic sites quickly format their web pages to receive advertisements that match key words in the content of those individual pages.

The AdSense program, originally introduced to beta testers in March, delivers text-based Google AdWords ads in banner or skyscraper graphics.

Here's how Google's new advertising program works: To apply online for the program, just go to https://www.google.com/adsense/ and apply for a Google account if you haven't one yet.

Google's editorial team reviews each application to ensure that your site meets their editorial guidelines. This process takes approximately 1-3 days.

To activate the service, you must log into your account and cut and paste a small piece of HTML code into your web pages. Once you've been approved by Google, you can monitor ad performance through detailed online reports.

The AdSense program is free for publishers. Google pays you an undisclosed amount each time a visitor clicks the advertising link. Although Google does not disclose the revenue split, you can log into your account to get daily information on your click-through rates and earnings.

The AdSense program is currently only available for English language web sites worldwide.
